- Pooran earns a spot in the Windies ODI squad for the series against England
- Two-time ICC T20 World Cup winner Johnson Charles joins Multan Sultans for the full tournament
Windies wicket-keeper batsman Johnson Charles has joined Multan Sultans as the replacement of Nicholas Pooran for the upcoming fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) starting from February 14 at Dubai International Stadium.
Pooran will not be available for the season as he has been called up in the Windies ODI side against England. Charles will join Multan’s squad in Dubai where the team will start training ahead of the tournament.
Multan’s management is disappointed on Pooran’s exclusion from the league as the young left-handed batsman keeps the ability to hit the ball big coming top the order.
“It is a big loss for us but Charle’s inclusion in the side will probably fill in for Pooran,” they said.
Charles is also delighted on once again becoming a part of the PSL and looking forward to join a strong looking squad of Multan.
